ISO 9001

Provençale first began examining the question of quality in 1990 to help improve production and quality management.
This study led to the creation of a quality system complying with the ISO 9001 standards which had recently been introduced in 1987.

A major project to document our operations and to introduce numerous records was thus conducted to obtain the ISO 9002 certification in 1993 for the sites in Espira de l'Agly (66) and Brignoles (83). Our design operations were already prepared but it was not until our certification was renewed in 1996 that it was extended to this activity and the company was thus ISO 9001 certified, again for the 2 sites.

Always very keen to introduce improvements, the 1999 certification renewal gave us the opportunity to integrate another production site into the scope of application of the certificate, i.e. Pouzilhac (30) for all of its industry and farming operations.

Then came the new, process-oriented version of ISO 9001 (version 2000). We gradually conducted this migration so as to be ready for the renewal in 2002 for all our sites.

Finally, the latest renewal to date was in 2005, and in addition to keeping the ISO 9001 certification, we obtained ISO 14001 for the Espira de l'Agly site (66).

We were thus able to celebrate the recognition of the quality of our plant in Espira.

«Thanks to everyone’s motivation, involvement and efforts, the treatment plant in Espira de l'Agly obtained ISO 14001 certification in October 2005! Initiated early in 2004, the procedure to introduce the ISO 14001 standard was thus validated by the AFAQ.
